Privacy Notice  This notice sets out how we, MFL Classic, part of Main-Fab Ltd will use personal information we collect about you when you use this website or obtain a quote by telephone. Please read this notice with care as by using this site and/or by purchasing an item you agree to be bound by its terms.  1. What information do we collect about you?
We collect and use personal information you submit in the process of selling items listed on our web site. Such information may include your name, address, telephone numbers, email address, details of other persons who will act on your behalf, as well as your bank details, credit or debit card number and expiry date. We also collect information about your use of our website, such as your IP address and information obtained through our use of cookies.
Sensitive personal information
For certain products we will need to process sensitive personal data such as proof of identity and firearms/ shotgun licence details. Where we collect any sensitive personal data about you, we will seek your consent prior to processing this. 
We may check the information supplied to us with:
• Your local Police Firearms department.

If you have provided information to us about someone else, you would have confirmed that you have the consent of these individuals to share their personal information with us. You should share this privacy notice with all individuals whose personal information you have shared with us as it may also apply to them

.2. How will we use the information we hold about you?  

  • To provide you with products listed on our website.
  • To give you a quotation for products
  • In respect of live firearms, to advise, by law your local Police Firearms Officer that you have acquired a rifle/shotgun. 
  • In respect of deactivated firearms, to advise, by law the Home Office that you have acquired a deactivated firearm.
  • To maintain your details, name, address, certificate number for at least five years as required by law.
  • In respect of obsolete and deactivated firearms to maintain your details, name and address for five years.
  • We will ONLY share your personal information with the Police/National Crime Agency  as required by law or in the event that we consider that a firearm, live, deactivated or obsolete is being purchased for unlawful purposes.
  • Your personal data may be shared with another Registered Firearms Dealer if requested by you for the purpose of transferring rifles/shotguns.
  • Your personal data; name and address will be given to the Home Office for the purpose of transfer of a deactivated firearm.
  • Your personal data will be not transferred to any other body unless subject to a Police or National Crime Agency enquiry.
  • Your personal data will at all times be held securely and handled with the utmost care in line with all principles of UK law.
  • We will maintain records to satisfy any legal and regulatory obligations we may have to keep such records where we need to use your personal information to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights, for example when we are faced with any legal claims or where we want to pursue any legal claims ourselves.
  • We may also use CCTV recording equipment in and around our premises for monitoring and security purposes
  • WE WILL NOT USE YOUR INFORMATION TO KEEP YOU INFORMED BY POST, TELEPHONE, EMAIL OR OTHER MEANS OF OTHER PRODUCTS, OFFERS AND SERVICES unless specifically requested by you to do so.

We need to tell you the rights we have to process the personal information you give us.
We may process your information on the following bases
• Such processing is necessary in order to enter into or perform a contract with yourself. This includes providing you with services relating to purchasing goods.
– To advise the relevant police authorities of your purchase as required by law.

We have a legal obligation to perform such processing: Where we have a justifiable reason, such as:
Keeping records about you to satisfy any legal and regulatory obligations we may have to keep such records;
To advise the relevant police authorities as required by law
We will ensure that our business need does not interfere with your rights and freedoms and does not cause you any harm. 

4. Who do we share your personal information with?
The police and National Crime Agency when we believe that such disclosure is necessary in order to assist in the prevention or detection of any criminal action (including fraud) or is otherwise in the overriding public interest.  The Home Office in respect to the transfer and sale of deactivated firearms.

 5. How long will do we keep records for?
We will only keep your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the relevant purposes set out in this Privacy Policy and in order to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations. The time period we retain your personal information for will differ depending on the nature of the personal information and what we do with it. How long we keep personal information is primarily determined by our regulatory obligations. We typically maintain financial records for a minimum of five years, gun registers for ten years.  In some cases, such as if there is a dispute or a legal action we may be required to keep personal information for longer.

 6. We will not communicate with you unless:
There is a specific problem with the item you have purchased

We may contact you without your permission if there is a query about an ongoing purchase.
We may communicate with you by post, email, SMS in relation to the above.

 7. Access to your information and correction  
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, pleaseemail or write to us at the address listed below.
Please note that in some cases even when you make a request concerning your personal information, we may not be required, or may not be able, to honour it as this may result in us not being able to fulfil our legal and regulatory obligations or there is a minimum statutory period of time for which we have to keep your information. If this is the case then we will let you know our reasons.

We use 3rd-party cookies from Google Analytics to help us collect audience data to understand the behaviour of our customers and provide advertising targeted to suit your interests and preferences. Any data collected will be used in accordance with our own privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.
